Bradley Presents at WSAMA Fall Conference

At the end of September, Mike Bradley presented on municipal cable franchising and broadband franchising issues at the Fall Conference of the Washington State Association of Municipal Attorneys in Tacoma, Washington.

This prominent conference had a robust attendance from municipal attorneys throughout the State of Washington, creating a vibrant atmosphere for networking and exchanging ideas on pressing legal matters. During his session, Mike spoke on several critical topics, including the continued value of cable franchises in the evolving digital landscape, the frequent underpayment of cable franchise fees that can adversely affect municipalities’ revenues, and the future of municipal broadband franchising as communities seek to enhance connectivity for their residents. His insights were not only informative but also sparked engaging discussions among attendees about the challenges and opportunities of municipal franchising, emphasizing the need for proactive measures.
